Sushi Cup. Approximately 4 inches high x 3.25 inches in diameter. Large tea cup for tea with sushi. Can also be used for sake when one is wishing to convey the impression that he/she is drinking tea. Namako Tenmoku Japanese Stoneware. Japanese ceramic artists, using techniques handed down through the centuries, create these unusual and uniquely Japanese pieces. A multi-process glazing gives a beautiful translucent finish to the deep blue, and a textured "volcanic rock" finish to the charcoal colored areas on each piece.
