Green Tara Statue, brass, 8.5 inches in height. Tara, the national "goddess" (approximate translation of yiddam) - Green Tara represents the active and energetic aspect of compassion, the Bodhisattva representing the miraculous activity of the Buddhas of past, present, and future.
Made in northern India by hand from recycled brass, individually cast using mud of lost was method. Each piece is then filed, brushed and sanded, and details are added by a carver.
